1. Share about a time when something small or seemingly insignificant happened in your life that made a big difference. 
2. In what ways has your theology or understanding of Christ changed since your early days of salvation? Can you think of some point that you later concluded you were wrong about?
3. In what ways has your choice to be a citizen of Jesus' kingdom   transformed your life?
4. Dallas Willard states  in his book the Divine Conspiracy that “Christ did not come to assist men (women) in being better men and living a better life…rather the Kingdom of God was a call of radical urgency and radical decision!” Do you feel that you are living with a sense of “radicalness?”

   2. This passage invites us to see Jesus Himself as our ‘portion.’     

       Apart from Christ, what things do you treat as your ‘portion’?

       In other words, where are you tempted to look for life apart

       from Christ?

1- Are you daily and meaningfully engaged with Jesus and receiving His blessings in your life? How can you deepen this engagement? (i.e. daily quiet time reading scripture/praying)

2- Are you meaningfully engaged with and participating in community? How can you take existing relationships deeper?

3- What is your identity or the dominant narrative that is speaking into your life right now? What might be a good one to cling to?

1. Do you relate more to the Pharisee in the story or the woman? Why?
2. To what extent should our love for God be emotional? How do feelings relate to faith?
3. Do you ever feel hindered or held back in your worship? Do you wish you could express yourself more? Do you ever think you don’t “feel” enough in your worship?
4. Are there types of people (race, economics, education, ideology, behavior)  that you realize you don’t/won’t  see as Jesus sees? How can you go about working to see them.
